Real Estate Agents are required by law to acquire identity and financial information about you. These legal requirements are designed to protect your interests when buying or selling a property. This information is required to be kept for a period of 7 years.

 

We take all steps to secure all identity and financial information; including:-

• Destroying any information as soon as permitted by law.

• Maintaining a highly effective firewall to protect our system from data hackers.

• To provide for internal securities which ensures that your information is not available to any person other than those who are servicing your needs.

 

Unless lawfully required, we do not share any data with any third parties. It is part of our privacy policy that, any data received through the execution of agency agreements, the buyer instructions, negotiations, any other private information is not shared with a third party for the purposes of any benefit to our organisation.

 

Please note that, Rule 7 of the Agents Rules of Conduct set out in the Property and Stock Agents Regulation 2021, states that any private information cannot be shared with a third party without your consent. It is our policy that any information that must be shared will either:

• Where lawfully required be advised to you; and

• Only be shared with your consent.

 

You may acquire access to any information we hold on you by writing to us and providing 48 hours’ notice. Any information which is incorrect will always be amended.
